It can over-write — every draft comes back a little purple — but as a partner for a stuck writer it is unmatched.
Sudowrite is not trying to write your novel for you, and that is precisely why fiction writers trust it. It is a suite of tools built around the actual craft — brainstorming, describing, rewriting — with an understanding of story structure that generic assistants simply lack. I used it to escape a blocked chapter and to strengthen an existing draft. Both went better than expected.
