Few-shot Learning

Guiding a model with a small number of examples in the prompt before asking it to complete a task.

Last updated

Few-shot learning provides a handful of input-output examples so the model can infer the expected pattern. It is one of the most effective prompt techniques, especially for formatting, classification and extraction tasks. The examples act like a short demonstration, and usually three to five well-chosen cases make a noticeable difference.
